Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team at Better Home Care. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients in the Philadelphia area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record patient condition, providing support and personal services to enable patients to stay in their homes.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services, shop for food and other household requirements, prepare and serve meals and snacks, and run errands as needed.
  • Assist patients with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, and teach them how to use assistive devices.
  • Help patients care for themselves by teaching them how to use canes or walkers, special utensils to eat, and special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
  • Advise patients and their families on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping practices.
  • Record patient information and notify nursing supervisors of changing or unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in home health care.
  • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
  • Driver's license (preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
