Job Overview

Malcolm Drilling is a leading provider of deep foundation services, with a strong presence in the industry for over six decades. As part of our comprehensive services, we offer a range of solutions, including deep foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, and dewatering techniques. Our team of experts is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects, and we are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the estimation and project management of civil projects with deep foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, and dewatering scope.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate site conditions and assess project requirements.
  • Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to ensure project feasibility.
  • Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare take-offs, cost estimates, bid proposals, and budgets to ensure project viability.
  • Negotiate construction contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project success.
  • Prepare project submittals, including construction means and methods, design calculations, specialty equipment, and required materials.
  • Manage field quality and control costs to ensure project efficiency.
  • Implement required safety measurements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare project billings and close out project paperwork to ensure project completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • 5+ years of related experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of our construction methods.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites within the district.
  • Meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Project management: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Driver's license required.
