Atrium Health Charlotte seeks a seasoned Director of Oncology Nursing to lead our Radiation Oncology team in providing exceptional care and service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Director of Oncology Nursing. As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations at 10 Radiation Oncology sites within the Greater Charlotte area.

In this role, you will work closely with the Medical Director to ensure comprehensive oversight of clinical practice in radiation oncology. Your key responsibilities will include driving integration, developing and implementing clinical practice policies, supporting professional development, and ensuring alignment with Magnet standards, TJC accreditation, and professional governance initiatives.

You will be expected to utilize transformational leadership in partnership with employees to develop goals and objectives consistent with our organization's mission and philosophy. Additionally, you will assess the impact of plans and strategies to address issues such as ethnic, cultural, and diversity changes in population, political and social influences, financial and economic issues, the aging of society, and demographic trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adheres to ANA Nursing Administrations professional standards and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
  • MSN required. If undergraduate degree is BSN, a master's degree from a health-related program or MBA is acceptable. Must have MSN if undergraduate degree is not BSN.
  • Appropriate professional leadership certification required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
