About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our Market Data Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance software solutions for real-time market data processing and distribution. Your work will have a direct impact on the firm's ability to operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain High-Performance Software: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions for real-time market data processing and distribution.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with trading desks, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Develop and implement data quality and integrity checks to ensure that market data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Optimize System Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize system performance to ensure that market data is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++ or Java programming languages, as well as experience with distributed computing and high-performance software development.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS, Terraform, or CDK: Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and automation tools.
  • Passion for Data Engineering: Strong passion for data engineering and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Experience with Electronic Trading Systems: Prior experience working on electronic trading systems, data feeds, or database engines.
