The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and cooperation. If you are passionate about horticulture and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
Job Summary:
- Establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision after training.
- Accurately judge watering needs of the crops with minimal instruction after training.
- Mix and apply the correct fertilizer at the correct rate consistently.
- Effectively identify insect, disease or virus in our crops after training.
- Act as an ambassador for our department whenever interacting with members of other departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in greenhouse production or related field.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Pass respirator evaluation and 'fit' test.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (based on experience) plus benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
