Medasource is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Job DescriptionThe Certified Surgical Technologist will be responsible for assisting the surgical team in the operating room, preparing equipment and sterile instruments, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile setup with instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions/medications for cases as needed.
- Assist surgeons in all types of procedures as required.
- Perform appropriate counts as established by policy and procedure.
- Review surgeon preference cards.
- Maintain aseptic environment for patients.
- Maintain clean, safe, and functional operation room environment and equipment.
- Assist professional personnel in the control of supplies and medications.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment used.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level of Education – Associates Degree or Equivalent.
- Certified Surgical Technologist Certification and BLS Certification.
- 1-2 years of experience; preferred but not required.
- Technology: ADP, Microsoft Office.
