Our operational hubs are strategically located in various regions across the U.S.

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Machinist to deliver comprehensive technical support throughout the entire lifecycle for diverse types of combatant vessels, including boats, amphibious vehicles, and specialized craft, collaborating with the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Employment Status: Full-Time

Essential Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Between three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in machining and repairing mechanical equipment, gained through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• A high school diploma, trade school certification, or GED equivalent.
• A current Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant military experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Intermediate Machinist will play a crucial role in the repair and modernization of watercraft through the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Disassembling mechanical equipment to identify issues.
• Partially dismantling machines and executing repairs primarily using hand tools.
• Replacing or repairing defective components using stock items or coordinating with machine shops for major repairs.
• Drafting specifications for significant repairs or for parts production.
• Reassembling machinery and making necessary operational adjustments.
