We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead RN Med Surg FT Nights to join our team at Carondelet St. Marys Hospital. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in coordinating and directing patient care, unit activities, and staff performance on an assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities:- Supports and evaluates patient care and unit needs during assigned shift
- Makes assignments for staff to meet patient care needs and for incoming patients
- Monitors effectiveness and completion of unit assignments
- Evaluates staffing by considering mix of caregivers, patient volumes, patient acuity, and staff availability
- Communicates effectively with team members and others during daily interactions
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and serves as a champion for patient safety
- Provides coaching and support for nursing associates and assists with preceptor training
- Troubleshoots issues that require immediate resolution and keeps the nurse manager/director informed
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License
- Required certifications in area of clinical specialty within 3 years from ANCC or other approved credentialing entity
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience and 1 year of ICU experience required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
