Job Overview

iCapital is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Operational Due Diligence team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of operational risks, internal controls, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive operational due diligence on investment opportunities, including site visits, interviews, and detailed analysis of operational processes.
  • Assess external fund managers, focusing on private equity, private credit, and real assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational risks associated with potential and existing investments.
  • Prepare and present detailed due diligence reports, summarizing findings and providing recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Monitor the operational performance of portfolio companies to ensure compliance with established standards and identify emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with investment teams, legal, compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to due diligence and risk management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational due diligence and risk management.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in operational due diligence, risk management, internal audit, or a related field within the investment industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
