Job Summary

Reporting to the Lead Technologist, Diagnostic Radiology, the IR Technologist uses ionizing radiation to produce images of tissues, organs, bones and vessels that assist in the diagnosis of the disease or injury during IVR procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize ionizing radiation to produce high-quality images of internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely image acquisition and interpretation.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and angiography systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in radiologic technology and imaging procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited college or equivalent military training.
  • Current registration as R.T.(R)(ARRT) or registry-eligibility with R.T.(R)(ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS healthcare provider certification.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including PACS and HIS/RIS.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
