Senior Operations Specialist

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team in Richardton, ND. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively communicate with customers and team members, with a primary focus on our Richardton, ND customer base.
- Manage periodic inventory, order feed and animal health products, and keep inventory organized, clean, and stocked.
- Learn how to handle billing, stock additions, and accurate purchasing using COUPA.
- Support go-to-market activities, including customer engagement strategies and planning and execution of product and service launches.
- Perform facility maintenance tasks such as mowing, spraying, cleaning the office and warehouse, and equipment preventative maintenance.
- Handle agronomy tasks, including certification to fill NH3 (anhydrous) and loading/unloading chemicals and fertilizers.
- Complete end-of-day activities, including depositing checks, reconciling the bank (Agris), and conducting closing time inspections.
- Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
- Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Agriculture experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
