Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - MRI Tech

Job Duration: 36 weeks

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Experience: Minimum 1 year

License: Pending state license accepted

Certifications: ARRT MR and BLS required

Must-Have:

  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment
  • Experience in an MRI operating room suite preferred
  • EPIC charting system experience preferred

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist neurosurgeons in the operating room suites with MRI imaging setup and performance during operations such as:
  • Brain MRI-guided laser ablations (RF, Visualase, LITT)
  • Brain MRI-guided craniotomy procedures for lesions and tumors
  • Brain MRI-guided deep brain stimulator evaluations and lead placements (STN, GPI, VIM)
  • Other cases as needed

Work Environment:

  • Monday through Friday day shifts, including one Saturday a month
  • Potential holiday work if it falls during the contract
  • Daily caseload per technician: 100-150
  • Weekend work is required every other weekend; on-call is not required

Preferred Skills:

  • Abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral magnetic resonance, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, T-1/T-2 weighted images
  • Experience with outpatient/inpatient, ER, Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital, NICU, and adult ICU preferred
  • Preferred skills include working with two out of the three software used

Equipment and Software:

  • Current scanners: Siemens Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, Vida

Requirements:

  • Flu vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only
