- Current Dental Hygienist License: Possess a current dental hygienist license in MI and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).

- CPR Certification: Hold current CPR certification.
- Experience with Advanced Technology: Possess experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire for Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
- Ability to Perform Essential Duties: Possess the ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental.
- Prolonged Sitting and Standing: Be able to perform prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Lifting and Carrying: Be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability for Training: Be available to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
