The Louisiana State University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian 2 to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our athletic facilities. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all housekeeping duties in assigned athletic facilities, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and mopping floors.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and other high-touch areas.
  • Remove litter and debris from facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Operate floor and power equipment to prepare and maintain floors.
  • Work with and be exposed to common cleaning products.
  • Ability to work extended days, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or food service work.
  • Ability to move about in a 58,000 sq. ft. building multiple times daily.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and stoop, kneel, and crouch to pick up litter and clean areas.
  • Ability to move furniture that weighs 20 to 40 lbs.

Working Conditions:

This position is considered essential and may be required to report or stay on campus in the event of an emergency or closure.

A pre-employment physical examination will be required per FASOP: HR-04.
