About the Organization:
The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Surgical Institute is seeking a dedicated Plastic Surgeon to enhance our surgical offerings. This role involves engaging in a diverse array of reconstructive surgeries, addressing needs arising from trauma, infections, and oncological conditions. The position promises a flexible work schedule, allowing for the execution of procedures in both main operating rooms and outpatient surgical facilities.
Position Overview:
As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide comprehensive plastic surgery services, including but not limited to: breast reconstruction and oncoplastic surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, excision of skin cancers and soft tissue with sentinel lymph node biopsy when necessary, and collaboration with orthopedic specialists for limb salvage procedures. Additionally, you will be involved in body contouring for patients post-massive weight loss and offer cosmetic and corrective surgical options. A focus on facial trauma is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Deliver a wide range of plastic surgery services, including breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, and skin cancer excisions.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons on limb salvage efforts.
- Engage in body contouring and cosmetic/corrective surgical procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery fellowship.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Plastic Surgery.
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license in good standing prior to employment.
