Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician is a part-time role that involves implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients as written by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and programs as written by the supervising BCBA.
  • Data collection and session note submission according to company policy.
  • Collaborate with peers and supervisors.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • RBT Certification or Equivalent: It is the employee's responsibility to always maintain an active RBT certification; an active certification is a requirement of this position.
  • Employment Classification and Hours: Variable employee, Non-Exempt.
  • Variable employees are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours.
  • If a Variable employee does not engage with a client for a duration of 3 months anytime during employment, Step Ahead ABA has the right to terminate employment.

Work Environment:

This position provides in-home services, which includes respecting the home of the client, leaving program materials in the home, and physical demands such as sitting for an extended period of time, playing with the client, and lifting the client.

Policies and Procedures:

As a Step Ahead ABA employee, you will be expected to abide by Step Ahead ABA's rules and standards, including signing an acknowledgement that you have read and understand Step Ahead ABA's rules of conduct, which are included in the Employee Handbook.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience working in another ABA practice.
