Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to capture high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to protect patients and staff.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any issues to our maintenance team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, adhering to our safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or graduate from a certificate program in radiologic technology.
  • No experience required, but a strong understanding of mammography principles and practices is essential.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to communicate with patients and staff.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Radiographer, Licensed certification from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
  • ARRT-M Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
