Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for guiding lab tests in various areas of specialty, performing clinical laboratory procedures, and ensuring the quality of examination performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and perform routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Prepare and test specimens for examination and review results.
  • Follow established in-process quality control procedures and record data.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic instrumentation, culture media, chemicals, reagents, stains, solutions, and technical problems.
  • Maintain sufficient supplies at the workstation.
  • Ensure and maintain quality control and assurance activities.
  • Use Infection Control practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 0-1 years of technical experience required.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is $54.23-$66.04/hour.
