Position Summary

We are in search of a proactive and experienced Project Manager to oversee our Water/Wastewater division. This role is pivotal in guiding projects from initial concept through to completion, encompassing design, bidding, permitting, and construction phases. The scope of work includes various water-related projects such as supply systems, treatment facilities, and distribution networks, as well as wastewater treatment and rehabilitation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Develop and define project scopes, budgets, and contracts that align with client expectations. Ensure projects are executed within set timelines and financial parameters, conducting regular project reviews to maintain compliance.
  • Team Coordination: Delegate tasks effectively among project teams and subcontractors, facilitating project meetings to ensure smooth progress and communication.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures tailored to each project, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups, managing expectations and addressing any concerns that arise.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering tasks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Take technical responsibility for major design components, ensuring they meet both internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  • Engage in clear communication regarding technical matters, demonstrating independent decision-making capabilities.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, contributing to marketing strategies and maintaining accurate records of client interactions.
  • Participate in proposal development and contribute to project cost estimations.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering is essential.
  • Must possess a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and be capable of obtaining licensure in additional states as needed.
