Serving Northwest Louisiana & East Texas, Alliance Animal Health operates an emergency clinic and intensive care facility from 6pm to 8am throughout the week.

Our purpose is to serve the community's pet owners in the event of an emergency after primary care has closed.

We provide intensive care, emergency surgical procedures, and hospitalization options. Our facility is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasonography, spacious surgical facilities with monitoring equipment, in-house laboratory machines, oxygen therapy, and a cat-friendly ward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Animal restraint and triage of incoming patients
  • Collection and analysis of lab samples
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases
  • Administration of medications
  • Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
  • Surgical preparation and assistance
  • Anesthetic management

Requirements:

  • Registered veterinary technician with at least 1+ year experience
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately
  • Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
  • Proficiency in sample collection, radiography, and anesthesia monitoring
