Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at The Ware Group LLC. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles and equipment, maintaining positive relationships with customers, and performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment consistent with DOT, state and company standards.
  2. Maintain positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service that includes accurate and timely delivery of products.
  3. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or need for repairs to supervisor.
  4. Load and unload trucks.
  5. Verify customer shipments against shipping manifests for accuracy.
  6. Prepare route to ensure timely, accurate and efficient deliveries.
  7. Fills or assists in filling customer orders by picking product using RF scanner, ensuring accuracy by scanning barcodes; placing and, or packing product into cartons or onto a pallet to provide damage-free shipment.
  8. Drive straight body vehicles including box truck to deliver supplies and equipment to customer's place of business or job site.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of inside of truck, cab and box.
  10. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive expedited delivery instructions.
  11. Immediately communicate delivery, traffic and safety issues to supervisor.
  12. Record sales or delivery information as applicable, obtain customer signature on receipt for pick up or delivery.
  13. Serve as a key field contact for gathering accurate customer service and delivery expectations.
  14. Performs general warehouse and other duties as assigned.
