Job Title: Laundry Attendant

At the St. Louis Jewish Community Center, we are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, fold, and wash laundry to ensure it is clean and hygienic.
  • Collect and deliver laundry from/to various points within our facility.
  • Operate necessary equipment to perform job tasks, including clothes washers and dryers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout work areas.
  • Assist other Building and Grounds team members in maintaining a clean and organized facility.
  • Perform inventory as necessary.
  • Follow and abide by all JCC rules and policies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience is desired.
  • Prior laundry experience is preferred; however, we will provide training.
  • General knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and their safety is a plus.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must be able to spend majority of shift walking, twisting, bending, pushing, stooping, and pulling.
