Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Hinsdale, Illinois.

Estimated Salary:

$83,449 - $134,430 per year, based on experience and location.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional, highly technical nursing care to all cardiovascular patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular procedures. They will function as a liaison for patients, patient's families, and physicians, and assist physicians in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures
  • Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to remain abreast of new procedures and current technologies
  • Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab
  • Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff, maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards
Requirements
  • Typically requires 2 years' cardiac cath lab experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PTCA, EPS preferred, with an AAS in RTR or a minimum of 5 years' experience as RTR preferred
  • Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year
  • Ability to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs
  • Ability to teach procedures to the staff
