Job Summary

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging procedures, to provide high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams and maintain Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required.
  • 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
  • Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
