Ivy at Watertown is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Professional to join our team

About the Role

This position involves implementing a social/recreational program for seniors in our assisted living community. Activities include spiritual, educational, intellectual, sensory motor, cognitive, social, and health/wellness programs.

The successful candidate will drive the van on various trips and excursions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for residents.

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess resident participation and engagement in activities, reporting findings to the Activity Director
  • Engage, encourage, motivate, and escort residents to planned activities
  • Implement programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities
  • Provide support to residents needing additional assistance during activities
  • Conduct 1:1 visits with residents who prefer to stay in their apartments or prefer smaller groups
  • Meet Registry of Motor Vehicle requirements as an approved driver
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience working with seniors in home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities
