PACU Nurse Tech PRN Nights Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a per diem / prn nursing job in Newton, Massachusetts.


Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced PACU nurse to join our team on a per diem / prn basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICU nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years nursing experience is required. ICU experience preferred.
  • CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment.
  • Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred.
  • ACLS and PALS required within first year of employment.

Physical Environment:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.
