About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Pantex. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the ESRI ArcGIS software at Pantex for all users, working with Software Quality Assurance, Cyber Security, and Information Technology to ensure that ArcGIS is appropriately updated and meets standards for Pantex, and managing and updating ArcGIS data and enterprise geodatabase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ESRI ArcGIS software at Pantex for all users.
  • Work with Software Quality Assurance, Cyber Security, and Information Technology to ensure that ArcGIS is appropriately updated and meets standards for Pantex.
  • Manage and update ArcGIS data and enterprise geodatabase.
  • Develop new ArcGIS data as needed.
  • Develop scopes of work and serve as technical representative for contracts for collection of data needed for ArcGIS, including LiDAR data, and hiring outside IT support for ArcGIS upgrades, when necessary.
  • Ensure long-term viability of data.
  • Evaluate survey data and incorporate into ArcGIS data, as needed.
  • Provide support for tools developed with ArcGIS.
  • Develop tools to support environmental work at Pantex, as needed.
  • Assist with development of maps to support environmental projects, environmental compliance and other departments, as needed or requested.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, in science or geography: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Master's degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in ArcGIS Enterprise development and application.
  • Experience in developing web application in ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience with building Python scripts.
  • Three or more years of experience in ArcGIS mapping, with emphasis on heavy use of ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience with model builder.
  • Experience in ArcGIS desktop installation.
