Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). As a RN in our NICU, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to NICU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-advocacy
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree, Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in the state of Arkansas
  • 1 year of Registered nursing experience, preferably in a NICU setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of Registered nursing experience in a NICU setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • NICU experience and knowledge of neonatal care
