Job Overview

This position will focus on R&D activities for the Residential HVAC team, supporting air handler and gas furnace products. The successful candidate will design, prototype, and test new concepts and designs, as well as advance development and future innovation for these product categories.

The role involves collaborating with the international R&D team regarding product design, problem-solving, and new concept development. You will be an integral part of the product planning and future innovation roadmap process, participating in weekly R&D calls with the international design team and following up on action items.

Closely working with regulatory engineers, you will ensure product compliance and align product plans with industry trends. Additionally, you will lead competitive analysis and teardowns, including technology offerings, features, performance data, and ability to travel domestically & internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience with component and system level reliability testing
  • Previous experience with HVAC, preferably residential furnaces, and/or air handlers

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
