Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Dinner Server to join our team at Saint Mary's Residence. As a Dinner Server, you will be responsible for serving dinner and dessert to approximately 38 elderly residents in a warm and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Serve dinner and dessert to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  
• Clean up the serving area and kitchen, including the stove, oven, floor, steam table, dishes, dish room, pots, pans, and utensils.
  
• Clean the dining room and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and dining area.
  
• Set up ice tea, water, and butter on each table.
  
• Wash dishes and put them away after each meal.
  
• Participate in menu planning and input is welcome.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Program Director.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
  
• Good people skills, work ethic, and organizational skills.
  
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  
• Cooking skills and experience preferred.
  
• Able to work efficiently without supervision and follow recipes.
  
• Safe Serve certification preferred but not required.
  
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, lifting, climbing a ladder, and sitting. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $12.00 per hour, based on the requirements of the job, the location, and industry standards.

About the Opportunity

This is a part-time position, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The employee will be supervised by the Assistant Program Director and will be required to work cohesively with other team members.
