Travel Nurse RN Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Aspirus Stevens Point. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current WI RN license.
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse.
- 1+ year of experience in Med Surg/Ortho setting.
- Ability to work 36 guaranteed hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts.
- Availability to work every other weekend and holidays.
- 5th floor: 23-bed medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6-8 at night.
- 2nd floor: 32-bed ICU/Stepdown/Med-Surg unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6-8 at night.
- 50-mile radius rule applies.
- Contract length: 13 or 17 weeks.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Float requirements: willing to float to like units.
- Required education: ADN or BSN.
- Charting experience: Epic preferred.
