Overview
As a vital member of our organization, you will spearhead essential initiatives aimed at preventing alcohol, drug, and tobacco use among students, empowering them to achieve a healthier, substance-free lifestyle. Your expertise in counseling and education will play a crucial role in promoting student success and retention in a nurturing and confidential setting.

POSITION SUMMARY
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Center's comprehensive prevention program targeting alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. Your role includes educating and counseling students to mitigate the risk of drug-related program separations. You will create tailored case management strategies to support student retention and success while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Adhere to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of student data.
2. Design and execute prevention activities related to alcohol, drugs, and tobacco, integrating these services into the Center's overall programming.
3. Establish and coordinate community resources to educate students about substance use and abuse.
4. Manage the Center's drug testing program to foster a drug-free environment.
5. Provide students with individualized case management, ensuring their progress, retention, and successful completion of the program. Build supportive relationships with students throughout their enrollment, offering counseling and education on substance abuse.
6. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance abuse issues.
7. Deliver high-quality work and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Maintain personal attendance and productivity standards.
9. Organize and prioritize tasks to meet established objectives and deadlines.
10. Apply job knowledge effectively to fulfill all responsibilities and maintain necessary skills.
11. Mentor and model the Career Success Standards as required.
12. Treat students with respect and hold them accountable for their actions.
13. Ensure the delivery of quality programs and services that meet student needs, pursuing continuous improvement.
14. Communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to team efforts.
15. Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate solutions before taking action, ensuring prompt follow-up on issues.
16. Collaborate with staff across all departments to provide effective supervision and services to students.
17. Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director and other management as needed.
18. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in drug and alcohol counseling or a related field is required. A valid, active, unrestricted in-state License or Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention is mandatory, along with regional approval.
