Position: Cybersecurity Analyst

The Cybersecurity Analyst utilizes advanced information security tools and data analytics to monitor and mitigate organizational risks. This role is pivotal in identifying optimal solutions and enhancing processes to ensure that the U.S. Engineering team operates efficiently and securely.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Employs information security tools to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Gathers data and compiles reports on security-related issues.
  • Evaluates security protocols to detect vulnerabilities.
  • Suggests technical strategies that align with best practices in functional security.
  • Contributes to the formulation and execution of security policies and procedures.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining standard operating procedure plans.
  • Facilitates the organization-wide information security training and awareness initiative.
  • Updates and documents security measures.
  • Supports and manages security software.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or information security, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the field of security.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning or other security tools is advantageous.
  • CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications or equivalent are required.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient understanding of incident response and intrusion detection techniques.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, security methodologies, and client operating systems.
  • Ability to stay informed about emerging IT and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with MS Intune.
  • Knowledge of Azure.
  • Familiarity with MS Defender.

Physical and Travel Requirements:
  • Regular use of a computer, including keyboarding and monitor viewing.
  • Travel may be required for conferences and professional development.
  • Occasional day trips to various job sites and facilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The salary range for this position is set between $70,000.00 and $90,000.00 annually, reflecting U.S. Engineering's good faith estimate at the time of posting. The final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • In addition to salary, team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and company performance, along with paid time off. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and educational savings matching.
