Responsibilities:- Adhere to state and federal regulations, established peer standards, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor patient drug therapy and provide information on all aspects of drug therapy.
- Interpret and evaluate physician orders, medication reorders, and pharmacy requisitions.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and appropriate administration of medications and IV solutions.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- At least six months of on-the-job internship experience.
- New York State Pharmacy License and Registration.
- Significant manual skills and motor coordination required.
- Some occupational risk and exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
- Very heavy effort, exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
