About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Dana Incorporated. As a key member of our maintenance leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our skilled trades and maintenance group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the skilled trades and maintenance group, ensuring that they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to support manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment downtime situations, quickly and logically determining and resolving root problems.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor others to use data and the scientific approach to problem solving, creating an environment that continuously measures and improves equipment uptime.
  • Process Improvement: Establish a process to measure and improve machine availability for our top 10 critical machines, ensuring that we are optimizing our maintenance operations for maximum efficiency.
  • Team Management: Effectively administer the skilled trades and maintenance group, including OT management, ADP management, and other administrative tasks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with manufacturing leadership, skilled trades, and maintenance group to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.
  • ISO 14001 Standards: Maintain ISO 14001 standards across the facility, ensuring that we are meeting our environmental responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in maintenance and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Union Experience: Union experience preferred, with a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labor laws.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven ability to solve problems in a logical fashion, with a strong understanding of CMMS systems, automation, and assembly processes. Ability to influence, escalate issues, and persuade team members and positively manage conflict.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or business administration, with relevant certifications and training.
