Lead Bookseller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookselling Manager to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing the skills of our bookselling team.

• Customer Experience: Create memorable shopping experiences for our customers by providing exceptional service, product knowledge, and a welcoming store environment.
• Store Operations: Ensure the efficient execution of store operations, including receiving, returns, and day-to-day processes, while maintaining high standards of presentation and commerciality.
• Team Development: Develop and mentor the skills of our bookselling team, providing coaching and feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with our cluster commercial support team to manage inventory, pricing, and assortments that meet the needs of our customers and community.
• Store Performance: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

• Bookselling Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of books and the book industry, with the ability to engage customers and promote products effectively.
• Operational Skills: Possess strong operational skills, including inventory management, cash handling, and store maintenance.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team, provide coaching and feedback, and make sound business decisions.
