About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (Data Development) to join our team at American Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing software for an advanced synthetic training environment, directly impacting the success of pilot training against potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Assist a software development team in developing an advanced synthetic training environment to support military pilot training.
- Tactical Knowledge Application: Apply tactical knowledge to support the development of entity models.
- Technical Analysis: Perform TechELINT analysis on complex waveforms associated with a wide range of red and blue force systems.
- Simulation Development: Develop and refine simulation presentation of real-world ELINT parametric data.
- Signal Translation: Perform signal translation of waveform data into a descriptive and behavioral modeling & simulation language for Development and Test.
- Threat System Analysis: Perform threat system analysis and sensor modeling of radars, electronic warfare (EW) systems, countermeasures, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) systems, and various weapons.
- Research and Analysis: Conducts specific sensor research, analysis, correlation, and assessment in order to reproduce the sensor as a software model through a suite of NGTS data editing tools.
- Test Activities: Participate in software test activities to include test procedure creation and test plan development.
- Customer Liaison: Understand and discuss simulation requirements with the customers, document and track these requirements, and provide technical input to modelers with regards to fidelity, accuracy, and intended use.
- Liaison with Aircrew and Program Leads: Act as liaison with aircrew and program leads.
Requirements:
- Security Clearance: Active or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Mathematician, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience: 10 years' experience in relevant work area.
- Tactical Experience: Must have prior significant tactical military aviation experience in Fighter, Attack, Support aircraft, or Rotary wing experience with at least one of the sensors/systems listed below, from either an aircrew, ground operator, or flight test environment.
- Recent Knowledge: Must have Recent and relevant knowledge of tactics, training, and procedures for deployment of those systems in a current combat environment.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
