Position Summary

LOD Staffing is seeking an Inventory Yard Assembly Technician to contribute to our operations. The technician will be responsible for engaging in the processes of shipping, receiving, and assembling transformers in an outdoor setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the assembly and disassembly of transformers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Utilize basic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions (e.g., landscaping, construction).
  • Must possess steel-toed footwear.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Stable work history, preferably in an industrial setting.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic welding knowledge (minimum 17.50 with a welding certificate).
  • Familiarity with mechanical processes or tools.
  • Experience in a related mechanical field.

Working Conditions

This role involves outdoor work, with potential exposure to varying temperatures and environmental conditions. Employees may encounter distracting noise levels and must be able to operate hand tools and machinery safely.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and handle objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.
