Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Epileptologist to join our team at the Illinois Neurological Institute & OSF HealthCare.

About the Role
  • As an Epileptologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Experience with perioperative stereo-electroencephalogram (SEEG) analysis is necessary.
  • Experience or willingness to learn the indications and management of VNS, RNS, and DBS for epilepsy is strongly recommended.
  • You will participate in program development efforts, including establishment of new outreach subspecialty clinics, and system-wide epilepsy care.

The Illinois Neurological Institute Epilepsy Center is the only level IV Epilepsy Center outside of Chicago.

OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center is the fifth largest medical center in Illinois.

We are a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois, College of Medicine at Peoria, and partner with both residency and fellowship programs.

Qualifications
  • Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
  • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
