Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Manager to join our team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of nursing staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to standardize and update policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the annual operational planning process and execute priorities to ensure implementation of the operation plan.
  • Promote staff accountability and empowerment through formal and informal processes.
  • Ensure consistent staffing and scheduling to meet the needs of the unit.
  • Serve as a role model for collaboration and collegiality on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Promote excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Master's Degree in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in nursing leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Previous experience in Pediatric Intensive Care is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Pediatrics is strongly preferred.
  • RN Registered Nursing license in California.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Specialty certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center within 2 years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

This is an exempt salaried position with a 40-hour workweek.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $177,000 - $266,945.00 per year, based on demonstrated experience and/or licensure.
