Overview

Role and Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for delivering essential daily nursing support and care services to residents, adhering to their individual assessments and care strategies.

Key Duties

  • Aid residents with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, dressing, and monitoring nutritional intake.
  • Adhere to established resident care protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor and document vital signs accurately.
  • Notify nursing staff of any potential accidents or injuries involving residents.
  • Participate in the development and updating of resident care plans.
  • Communicate any changes in resident health status to the supervising nurse.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

  • A high school diploma is mandatory.

Licensing Criteria

  • A valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license is required.

Experience Preferences

  • Previous experience in a long-term care environment is advantageous.
