About the Role

Blue Ridge Power is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for executing construction projects of small-to large-scale utility solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure project reporting requirements are followed.
  • Assure all permit requirements are correctly followed and conduct inspections with the AHJ.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with the Site Safety Plan.
  • Communicate with the Project team, including the Project Manager, Construction Manager, all Subcontractors, Utility, and QA/QC personnel, as needed.
  • Conduct Plan of Day (POD) meetings onsite daily with contractors.
  • Execute projects and work with internal teams, including project development, engineering, finance, accounting, legal, and field-level construction managers.
  • Conduct job walks to maintain quality control and strong relationships with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Assist the construction manager in resolving specific issues and requests as needed.
  • Manage and understand contractors' SOW.
  • Ensure contractors meet BRP's safety and quality standards and regularly conduct related QA/QC inspections and reports.
  • Update reports daily on Procore.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial Construction: Or managing utility-scale solar projects Or 3-5+ years of managerial experience with education in construction or Solar Or a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Ability to effectively communicate expectations, goals, and concerns to subcontractors and project management team members.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, make decisions, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Strong work ethic, a high degree of detail orientation, and an extreme sense of urgency.
  • Ability to read and interpret field drawings and details.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solar experience preferred.
  • Experience with Procore, Heavy Job, or other Project Management Applications.
Working Environment and Physical Demand

The position is 100% travel and offers per diem while working on our project site(s). The position requires travel to the project site(s). Must be flexible when traveling to multiple states. Must possess reliable transportation. Must be able to comply with all company safety standards and procedures, including OSHA requirements. Must follow organization policies and procedures. Individuals in this position work in an outdoor environment and must be able to tolerate all climates. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short to long distances for 8-10 hours daily. May require lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.
