Job Title: Senior Router Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Router Engineer to join our team at VAE, Inc. This is a consulting position that focuses on customer-facing (production) infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Senior Router Engineer will be responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing network solutions for our clients. This includes developing LAN/WAN network designs, setting up router/switch configurations, designing/configuring routing protocols, and setting up IP subnet schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions for clients
  • Develop LAN/WAN network designs to accommodate data center migrations
  • Set up router/switch configurations and design/configure routing protocols
  • Set up IP subnet schemes and troubleshoot network issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible network engineering experience with Cisco platforms
  • CCNP certification (CCIE is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2K3/2K8, UNIX/Linux, and database technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Juniper platforms
  • Knowledge of systems and enterprise storage technologies
  • VoIP component configuration and deployment experience
Clearance Level:

Secret

Certifications:

Security+ CE and CCNP (CCIE is a plus)
