Job Summary:
The Pipefitter Specialist will be responsible for laying out, installing, and maintaining vessels' piping systems, including heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure, and oil lines. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints and drawings, as well as the ability to work with hand tools and shop machines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follows blueprints and uses hand tools and shop machines to install and maintain piping systems.
• Cuts and bores holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipes.
• Cuts and threads pipe and pipefittings, and connects pipes to fixtures and test systems for leaks.
• Works with a tacker/helper to perform precision work and solve problems.
• Possesses the ability to perceive pertinent detail in objects or blueprints.
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a pipefitter is preferred, with the ability to operate a cutting torch and tack weld.
• Knowledge of blueprints and drawings is essential for this role.
