The HOMEBUILDERS program is an evidence-based model recognized as a Well Supported family preservation initiative by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. This program prioritizes child safety and family unity. The HOMEBUILDERS Supervisor will oversee the HOMEBUILDERS team within the designated region and state, providing clinical supervision and management for the HOMEBUILDERS Specialists.
This position is expected to operate effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established procedures and complying with agency, federal, and state regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with all supervisory components outlined in the HOMEBUILDERS Standards Manage, develop, and mentor the team, providing weekly supervision Foster a cohesive team environment and maintain positive employee morale Enforce agency policies and procedures through employee evaluations, conference requests, time sheets, and reimbursement vouchers Oversee the employee selection, hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and orientation processes in line with agency expectations Ensure adherence to the HOMEBUILDERS Standards by all direct reports Be available for referrals, consultations, and support 24/7, ensuring client eligibility and intake sessions occur within 24 hours of referral Provide coverage for emergency and crisis situations Serve as a backup for HOMEBUILDERS Specialists as needed Collaborate with Specialists, management, and consultants on client, Specialist, and community safety issues, ensuring each client intervention plan addresses safety concerns Ensure HOMEBUILDERS Specialists deliver a range of clinical, concrete, and advocacy services aligned with the HOMEBUILDERS model and the family's values, learning styles, and cultural context Ensure that all clinical documentation is completed and submitted according to HOMEBUILDERS standards Monitor model fidelity and program outcome data Assist HOMEBUILDERS Specialists in analyzing and interpreting performance data Conduct quality assurance reviews of client records Meet ongoing client contact requirements and ensure compliance with state child welfare agency contract requirements Review, revise, and approve all documents sent to external parties Collect, review, and approve expense reports and check requests for accuracy per agency guidelines Adhere to contract guidelines for submission of billings, invoices, and service reports Engage in community groups and cultivate strong relationships within the local community Maintain positive working relationships with state child welfare agency staff and community partners Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed May be required to participate in Bethany-sponsored donor engagement events.QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited institution with two (2) years of experience working with children and families, preferably in family preservation and stabilization; or a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with four (4) years of relevant experience Ideally, one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role Preferably possess or be able to obtain professional licensure issued by the state of employment as a LCSW, or other relevant licenses (Licensure not required in Maine) Ability to engage, develop, and maintain positive community relationships with diverse individuals Strong assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to change Proficient in essential computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Must reside within sixty minutes of most families served Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including some evenings and weekends Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage Pass a criminal history screening, including state and local child protection agency registries Commitment to and integration of the agency's Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
