Dietary Cook

Alpine Health and Rehabilitation of Asheboro is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality meals and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for incoming food and supplies.
• Perform assigned cleaning assignments and maintain food service equipment and work spaces in a clean and safe condition.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One-year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Ability to interpret and implement written or oral programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Dietary Department.

Working Conditions:

The Dietary Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent interruptions and exposure to hot and cold temperatures. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
