Histotechnologist - PRN

The Histotechnologist plays a vital role in the Clinical Laboratory, responsible for maintaining current professional knowledge and skills to perform testing as a Histologist. This includes fluid cytology preparation, producing high-quality slides in an efficient manner consistent with laboratory and hospital policy.

• Perform special staining, frozen sections, gross examination, and assistance with autopsy.
• Assist the pathologist with post-mortem examination and collection of specimens.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and report/document results per organizational standards.
• Perform Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.

• Associate's degree in Histology or related field.
