Job Overview
As a key contributor to the tax strategy implementation, the Senior Tax Strategy Analyst plays a vital role in optimizing tax obligations. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and fostering relationships with essential stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and communicate potential tax savings opportunities to management and stakeholders through detailed presentations and regular reporting.
- Leverage advanced knowledge of tax methodologies by researching new regulations and participating in industry conferences and seminars.
- Engage in divisional and company-wide initiatives to promote engagement and collaboration.
- Contribute to departmental projects and process enhancements.
- Work alongside other tax functions to implement effective tax solutions.
- Build partnerships with business units to support value creation initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing training on tax processes and value creation projects.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or accounting at a firm, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience interpreting technical tax laws and regulations.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with intermediate skills in creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or accounting, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in project management, including planning and resource management to achieve project goals.
