Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Wyman Gordon. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products using specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products to meet specifications
  • Install and repair various equipment and components to ensure optimal performance
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications and ensure accuracy
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
  • Flexibility with overtime to meet production demands
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and ensure efficient production
  • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job
  • Maintain and repair all machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors and ensure quality
  • Follow and enforce strict safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature to prevent damage
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions to meet production demands
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or related fields
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a welder, with experience in carbon arc welding required
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures, specifically stick welding and carbon arc weld
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
  • Must be a US Citizen according to ITAR regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
  • Outstanding attention to detail
