Cross Country Locums is currently seeking a qualified Pediatric Endocrinology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity. Below are the details of the assignment:
- Assignment Duration: Available as soon as credentialed, extending through the year.
- Preferred Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with 24-hour on-call availability throughout the week.
- Work Environment: Hospital setting.
- Responsibilities: Providing clinic and on-call coverage. The on-call duties primarily involve phone consultations, including inquiries from parents and hospital/ER communications. The role includes unrestricted home call, with in-person visits required only for new diabetic consultations, typically involving a 48-hour admission to meet the family and arrange follow-up care. Hospitalists will handle most patient admissions with support via phone.
- Licensing and Certification Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid North Carolina medical license and DEA registration. Applications will only be considered if both are provided at the time of submission.
- Electronic Medical Records: Familiarity with Cerner Powerchart is preferred.
- Compensation: Interested candidates should present their preferred pay rate.
